Giorgio Peres, a photographer from Verona, is the overall winner of the 2026 Block Notes Photo Contest.
This year’s edition offered participants a creative journey dedicated to the four elements of nature—Earth, Water, Air, and Fire—inviting them to interpret these elements through a personal lens, not only from a naturalistic perspective but also from symbolic and emotional ones.
To qualify for the final rankings, participants had to take part in all four weeks of the contest. Among the 74 photographic series in the competition, the jury awarded the prize to Giorgio Peres, praising his ability to construct a coherent and evocative narrative through minimalist images, in which landscapes and natural elements take center stage.
In addition to the overall winner, the jury awarded a special mention to Ralph Milewski, the creator of a project that was particularly appreciated for its quality and originality.
