Download the call, register on the site and send us your project by March 31st, 2025 to be the next protagonist of the photographic residency.
The first featured Davide Greco with Custodi, a book that tells the story of Sirmione through the people who preserve its history, nature, and traditions.
In the second edition, Simona Ghizzoni created A Riva, intertwining photography, history, and anthropology in a tribute to women and their connection to water and ancient myths.
The third edition led to the publication of Venature by Mattia Marzorati, a project that abandons the tourist image of Sirmione to focus on the plant world, observed as a place of vitality, freedom, and resistance.
The fourth edition has selected Hiro Tanaka as artist in residence. The project developed by the Japanese photographer will be unveiled in 2026 and will enrich the photographic narrative dedicated to Sirmione.
The Sirmione Photo Residency is not only an artistic residency, but an opportunity to see Sirmione with new eyes, through the sensitivity and creativity of photographers who, year after year, give us new ways of looking at this extraordinary place.
Sirmione stands on a long peninsula surrounded by the water of Lake Garda, with a panorama that stretches as far as the Alps.
The stone and pebble beaches, the landscape, the lush nature, the historical and artistic heritage, the magical romantic atmosphere, the vitality that you can experience in the narrow streets occupied at all times by new faces, these are just some of the elements that allow you to enjoy an exciting journey and unique experience.
