Sirmione offers you a great opportunity: a two-week Photographic Residence on Lake Garda to produce a photographic project in complete freedom, with the guidance of two international photography experts.
In a fortnight in October 2025 you will have the chance to develop and produce your own personal photographic project in Sirmione, taking inspiration from the many aspects of its charm.
You will be accompanied in this free-theme project by two international professionals with whom you will be able to exchange ideas every step of the way:

The Sirmione Photo Residency provides:
A reimbursement of travel expenses (max 1.000 €)
Two weeks of hospitality in Sirmione
A daily allowance of 2.500 € (for the two weeks)
Sirmione Photo Residency is distinguished and characterized by the great freedom that is granted to the participating photographers in imagining, proposing and producing their project.
The first edition of Sirmione Photo Residency featured Davide Greco . His work gave birth to “Custodi”, a photographic book published in October 2023, which tells the story of Sirmione through the faces and stories of the people who guard its soul: its historical heritage, nature and traditions.
In the second edition, Simona Ghizzoni intertwined photography, history and anthropology to create “A Riva”, published in October 2024. A timeless tale, a tribute to women and their deep connection with nature that takes us back to ancient myths and traditions linked to water, a central element in the history of Sirmione.
The third edition awarded Mattia Marzorati . The project he developed during the residency will be revealed in 2025, which will enrich this photographic story dedicated to Sirmione.
The Sirmione Photo Residency is not just an artistic residency, but an opportunity to see Sirmione with new eyes, through the sensitivity and creativity of photographers who, year after year, give us new ways of looking at this extraordinary place.
The Sirmione Photo Residency is a research and development residency in which photography can become the key tool to trace points of union between the different dimensions of collective life and translate into an opportunity for cultural and ethical growth of society.
